Member’s Stall at Earthy Craft Fair

Earthy Craft Fair

We’ve really been looking forward to this one! Earthy Food Market is a favourite grocery shop for many of our members so we were well chuffed to get a stall at tomorrow’s Earty Craft Fair. Our members will be selling their lovely creations from 12-4 and we’re also looking forward to meeting new craft-appreciating folk.

Entry is free so you can have your coffee and cake, do your grocery shopping and pick up some lovely handcrafted goods, all in one fell swoop. If it’s a good day you can even have a wee mosey and browse the garden plants.

See you there!

Join in the Day of Felt!

Saturday 2 October is the International Day of Felt – a day when felt makers around the world celebrate their craft by making something in the designated colours (this year blue/green/yellow) and making it public. see the call to artists on www.feltunited.com – your polit bureau thought it would be an interesting thing for Craft Reactor to contribute to.

Instead of organising a meet we’re having a virtual event. We’d like Craft Reactor members to make some kind of felt work according to the guidelines on the Felt United website. When you’re done take some photos of your creation and email them to hello@craftreactor.com – we’ll put all the Craft Reactor website and ask Felt United link to it.

Magpie Market

Magpie Market September

Magpie Market is returning to The LOT in the heart of the Grassmarket for a series of monthly markets.

The first one is this Saturday and we’re definitely paying it a visit. The market will run alongside the Buskers Brunch which will see fabulous live music by talented local ‘busking’ musician and brunch served in the café.

Our members Madeleine Shepherd and Carmen Moran are very pleased to be part of the event selling their handmade creations so pop in and say hello somewhere between tasty brunch and enjoying the tunes.
