Crafty Periodic Table

2011 International Year of Chemistry2011 is the International Year of Chemistry, a worldwide celebration of the achievements of chemistry and its contributions to the well-being of humankind. As part of the ongoing events we have teamed up with the Edinburgh University School of Chemistry and National Museums Scotland to provide a crafty input into the world of Chemistry.

In Your Element is a drop in, chemistry-inspired craft event for all ages. Join us in creating a huge Periodic Table on the weekend of 9-10 July at the National Museum of Scotland, between 11 and 15.30.

  1. Sorry can’t be with you, but I did Chemistry and got a PhD from this eminent university in 1980! One of my creations had 2 Germanium, 2 Phosphorus, 2 Fluorine and 6 Hydrogen. However, I seem to remember that Strontium is named after Strontian in the West Highlands. Have a good event!
